Weather forecasting is an intricate science, and when it comes to predicting snowfall in mountainous environments, the complexity only increases. Launched as a prototype in January 2024, Snowiest.app has embarked on a mission to make snow forecasts more accessible to skiers, snowboarders, and all snow enthusiasts alike.
This website aims to display publicly available, taxpayer-funded weather data from sources such as the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the European Center for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts, and other esteemed meteorological agencies across Canada, France, Germany, and Japan. The raw data is sourced through the Open-Meteo weather API, our trusted provider.
At Snowiest.app, we don't create snow forecasts—we curate them. The data you explore here is directly fetched from official weather models managed by government agencies. Apart from some necessary rounding for readability, the information remains unaltered, so we do not control or certify the accuracy of the weather predictions.
While we're not the experts in meteorology, our enthusiasm for snow and the outdoors drives us. We're dedicated to helping you discover the perfect snow conditions for your winter adventures. Should you have any suggestions on how we can improve or wish to share your thoughts, we're all ears. Your input is invaluable, and we invite you to contribute via our feedback form. Your engagement fuels our passion and growth.
Thank you for being part of our journey. May your snow be a little better than you expect!
